BLACK STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATION

St. Thomas University Black Students’ Association (STUBSA) was created to promote solidarity among students of colour at the university. It is the association’s mission to create spaces conducive to discussions on race, allyship, inclusivity, and other topics, to be the main voice of Black students on the St. Thomas University Campus, and to plan and execute Black History Month initiatives each year in partnership with St. Thomas University. LATIN AMERICA STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATION

The Latin American Students' Association, better known as LASA, acts as a liaison between Latin American students and the St Thomas university community. In addition, LASA's mission is to offer a safe space and environment to the Latin American community to share the culture and traditions of the different countries that make up Latin America, ensuring that cultural awareness is promoted. LASA will be dedicated to ensuring that each Latin American student is represented and feels comfortable sharing their cultures and traditions with the entire STU community, through social activities that will take place throughout the academic year, hence creating a space for learning and support.

ST. THOMAS UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATION

STUISA is an organization committed to the development of a diverse and safe environment on campus where every student feels welcomed, cared for, and accepted. This is achieved by raising concerns affecting the international community and vouching for their best interest. Moreover, STUISA offers several social events that celebrate a grand variety of cultures and offer new opportunities such as the annual Multicultural Fair, the buddy program, work, and volunteer opportunities, movie nights, game nights, and more!
