The Students’ Representative Council

These are the elected people who represent your opinions, ideas and interests. They meet to discuss and vote on matters concerning student life here at St. Thomas. Meetings occur every Thursday during the academic year in Holy Cross room 5 at 5:30pm and are open to all students. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact one of the SRC members.

The Students’ Representative Council is made up of 14 voting members and 6 non-voting members. Voting members include the 4 executives, one representative for each residence, and five off campus representatives. Non-voting representatives include two student senators, two board of governors representatives, the grad class president and the first year liaison.

Vice President Administration – Mary-Dan Johnston

The Vice President Administration is in charge of the finance and governance of the Students’ Union. She can help with questions about academic assistance, funding and support for clubs and societies, and jobs with the Students’ Union.

Vice President Education – Craig Mazerolle

The Vice President Education advocates on behalf of students to the University Administration and the University Senate on Academic issues and to various levels of government on a variety of issues including funding for post-secondary education.

Vice President Student Life – Alex Vietinghoff

The Vice President Student Life oversees the services offered by the Students’ Union.  They can help with questions about the health plan, bus pass, safewheels, emergency bursaries and other services.  They also supervises the Student Advocate, Activities Coordinator, Yearbook Editor, Sustainable Lifestyles Coordinator and Social Issues Advocate.
