Off Campus Committee

The Off-Campus Committee includes all the off-campus representatives on the SRC. It works on issues of concern to off-campus students such as transportation, and organizes events.

Academic and University Affairs Committee:
Chair:  Vice President Education

This committee deals with academic issues within the university, as well as the external advocacy goals of the Students’ Union. Members of the committee help the Vice President Education to develop strategies to advocate for students’ interests both within the university, as well as at all levels of government.

Activities & Events Committee:
Chair:  TBA, Activities Coordinator

The Activities and Events committee is responsible for planning social and other events, including the Winter and Spring Formals, the AGM and the SRC retreat.

Governance Committee:
Chair:  Vice President Administration

The Governance Committee makes recommendations on all matters pertaining to the Constitution, By-Laws, Policy Manual etc. The Committee also reviews Constitutions submitted by clubs and societies.

Finance Committee:
Chair: Mary-Dan Johnston, Vice President Administration
Vice Chair: Tina Reissner, General Manager

The Finance Committee receives and approves or makes recommendations on requests for Union funds, for purposes including student academic endeavors, charitable assistance, and any other financial matters, with the exception of emergency bursaries.

Yearbook Committee:
Chair: Yearbook Editor

The Yearbook Committee must assist the editor of the Aquinas yearbook in the fulfillment of his/her duties, including layout, advertising, photo collection, and distribution.

Member Relations Committee:
Chair:  Communications Coordinator

The Member Relations Committee oversees the creation and distribution of promotional materials for events, services and campaigns.
