St. Thomas University Students' Union

About Us

Established over 75 years ago, the St. Thomas University Students’ Union is a democratic body representing all students at St. Thomas University.  The mission of the Students’ Union is to effectively represent and provide services to the students of St. Thomas University and to advocate the position of the organization before the University’s administration, municipal government, provincial ministries and federal departments. The Students’ Union strives to enhance the life and experience of students with a positive educational, social and cultural environment while attending St. Thomas University.

All full and part-time students of St. Thomas University are members of the STU Students’ Union. Full-time students pay $111.24 per year, and part-time students pay $21.63 per 3 credit hours.

There are many ways to get involved in the Students’ Union, such as running for an elected position in the Spring or Fall General Elections, applying to work in one of the many hired positions of the Union, volunteering at the Help Desk, or helping to organize the events and campaigns that the Union holds every year.
